Risk disclosure
What this course is and isn't, and the risks of trading futures.
What this course is
AI in Action teaches you to build software with AI coding tools. The trading bots are the practice project, not the point: they give you something real to build, run and fix. The skill you're paying for is coding with AI.
Practice account only
The TopStep subscription includes both a Combine evaluation account and a Practice account, which trades simulated funds. Every lesson is done on the Practice account, and it's the only one I recommend using with the course, especially while you're learning. The course never uses, asks for, or supports a personal brokerage account. While you follow the lessons as written, none of your own money is at risk in the market. The only money you spend is on the tool subscriptions listed on the pricing page.
Not a trading strategy, not trading advice
I'm not a trading advisor. I don't offer trading advice, and I don't offer any trading strategy meant to be used on a real account. The strategies in the course are teaching material for learning to code with AI. They are not profitable as they stand, and they should not be used, as-is or changed, on any real-money account or brokerage account.
US only
The course is offered to US residents. I can't guarantee TopStep will be available or work for anyone in the EU, the UK or elsewhere. The coding-with-AI lessons still apply wherever you are.
Education, not advice
This is an educational course about building software with AI coding tools. It is not financial advice, investment advice, or a recommendation to trade any instrument. Nothing on this page is a solicitation to buy or sell futures. I am not a trading advisor, and the strategy code in the course is for learning to code with AI only. It is not meant for any real-money or brokerage account.
No promised results
No performance is promised or guaranteed. Trading futures involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for everyone. Most people who attempt a prop-firm evaluation do not pass it.
Simulated accounts
Every lesson is done on a TopStep Practice account, which trades simulated funds. The course never uses, asks for, or supports a personal brokerage account. Simulated and hypothetical results have inherent limitations: they are produced with the benefit of hindsight, they carry no real financial risk, and they do not reflect the impact of real market liquidity or emotion. Past or simulated performance does not indicate future results.
No affiliation
I am not affiliated with, sponsored by, or compensated by TopStep, ProjectX, Cursor, or GitHub. The TOPSTEP promo code mentioned in the course is a standing discount offered by TopStep to its own users and I receive nothing for it.
Software as is
The bots in the course are teaching examples. The strategies handed to you are not profitable as they stand. Code can have bugs, data feeds can fail, and an automated system will do exactly what it was told even when that's wrong.
If you go beyond the course
Futures are leveraged: a small move in price can cause a loss bigger than the money you put in. The course doesn't recommend trading futures with real money, and the strategy code must not be used on a real-money or brokerage account. Anything you do beyond the Practice account is your own decision, outside the course, under that firm's own rules and fees, and any loss is yours.
